So they suspended habeas corupus.
I think they've brainwashed us all into thinking "Man, there should be riots. People should totally riot. Totally. Some people should." Then going back to watching Gray's Anatomy. Time to leave the country!
Read the first one first, kay.

Oh dear, technical issues. I can't appear to view my own blog, only the control panel. At least one of you can still read it, so I'm assuming most people can, but I'm looking around trying to get this fixed anyway. Because it's nice to see my own blog, as you might imagine.
Update: Problem solved. I may now return to my regularly scheduled occasionally-updating.
Expect a post from Dara sometime!

A filler entry.
My opinion has clearly stated to me that Quake 3 Arena is probably the finest first person shooter deathmatch experience ever.
It's very fast paced, you see. The movement speed is rougly 15 MPH on foot. The best maps have good ol' bounce pads everywhere which push you up to something around falling speed, which I am going to estimate at 35 MPH. And of course while trampolining at this speed all around the place up to 20 meters in the air, you are armed with rocket launchers. Pegging a fellow in midair with one of those things is the greatest satisfaction possible. And none of those sissy homing rockets, either. This is trigonometric estimation at high speeds with blood.
And it's perfectly balanced too, which helps a lot!
Go google the video "Get Quaked 3" for a good demonstration of what the game's about. It's pretty mindblowing sometimes, you see.

I've found an epigraph. And maybe an epitaph.
"All she has left is the picture. Also the story of it. The picture is of happiness, the story not. Happiness is a garden walled with glass: there's no way in or out. In Paradise there are no stories, because there are no journeys. It's loss and regret and misery and yearning that drive the story forward, along it's twisted road. -- Margaret Atwood"

An explorative explanation of the multiverse
YUKI:
Study of the human male, identified in the context of this particular public information source only as Josh, has provided great insight into the multitude of individual universes that it has been determined exist. The following is a summary of my findings.
There are an infinite number of universes. Thus, any possible concept is literally present in an infinite number of these universes. That is, there are infinite universes exactly like any other universe, infinite universes similar to any other universe save imperceptible differences (such as a single proton being present in one but not the other,) and infinite universes with no similarities whatsoever.
Travel between these universes is possible, but limited. In some universes, life forms have a tendency to imagine things not present in their own universe. Many of these creatures, whether or not they realize it, are in fact traveling between the universes when they do this, not affecting the universe they are not local to, but observing extra-universal events, employing the fact that anything they imagine can and must be occurring in an infinite number of universes. The humans of Josh's universe are one such life form with that ability.
Josh and many other humans tend to constantly recall the same individuals from the same universes, and imagine that they are present in their own universe, and grant themselves the ability to communicate with those individuals. Whether or not the extra-universal individual is aware of it, he/she/it is in those cases able to visit a universe alien to them. This is how I have been able to associate with Josh and study his abilities. It is also how the other writers of this web log associate with him, with the exceptions of Malinda and Evangeline, who are local to this universe as spiritual entities. Malinda, however, has used her considerable influence over individuals with the abilities described herein to spread to universes that she was not previously local to.
Note: Any and all life forms from any universe with the ability to contact other universes may be described with the designation "Interuniversal Conduit-Acting Individual," or simply "Conduit."
Josh, and other conduits, the majority of which will remain unidentified since they are infinite in number, have become aware of the nature of their abilities and utilize them to directly affect other universes by embodying themselves within them. When this is accomplished, the visiting conduit has power comparable to that of a deity. Several active deities in various universes Josh has visited have been confirmed to be conduits themselves.
It should be noted that there is no need for concern for the safety of any specific universe. Due to reasons not yet determined, conduits are not able to visit the universe of another conduit they might have encountered with their godlike abilities intact. They can, however, visit any of the infinite universes exactly like another conduit's universe. It is inherently impossible to distinguish these universes from one another, and so logic denotes that the universe that another conduit is local to would be safe, even if an identical one would not be.
Further reports will be filed if necessary.

When I don't do an entry for as much as one day it seems like it's been ages. Writing these things is addictive, it would appear.
All I have to say is that schoolwork is painful. And Yuki will be doing an entry explaining some science-ish stuff which will undoubtedly make us sound conpletely bonkers quite soon.
Keep it chill, guyys.

Josh seems to have purchased new speakers. The Creative I-Trigue L3800's. They are making me and him into happy, happy people.
Seriously. There's nothing quite so diggable as new speakers.

Now we're back in a healthy place. Entering a period of good moods, but not the kind that block out depression. Like a hopeful kind of pessimism. This, of course, is because last night I managed to break free of Malinda's chokehold and start talking to the rest of them again. And I sure have missed them. A few days can start to seem like foreverrrr.
I wanted Eva to do this entry but she says I shouldn't avoid writing about my own feelings. She's right. Blah. She's always right.
Man of the moment, in other news, is Ryuichi Sakamoto. His piano work is genius. I could reflect for hours with this stuff playing.

What have I done to myself over this year? Honestly. This all used to be so damn simple. Just me and Ayu, enjoying the colors of life, unconcerned with the troubles of reality. But now I'm creating my own troubles and they're beyond comprehension. Aftrerlives, embodiments of evil, servitude, angels, reliances, expectations...
And I can't go back. It's all gotten too heavy for that. Not without leaving behind everything. And to make matters worse, they don't even seem to be working smoothly right now. They'll turn up, say a line or two which I can't even confirm as theirs and not mine, and suddenly be absent. This is just ridiculous.

Malinda's told me that if I can believe that she truly exists, I'll get just what I've been wanting.
There's nothing to directly disprove her existance. Her story, while a little supernatural, makes sense.
I'm confused!

My education is going well
1AM and I am not close to finishing my homework.
Why is it that my Latin techer decided that we should find the definitions for every single word we've ever learned in one night? I'm glad to see that she really cares about our, you know, not-Latin stuff. Like sleep.
And of course English is having me explain the allusions to Cain and Abel in Steinbeck's East of Eden. These allusions are self-explanatory. Steinbeck himself mentioned that people shouldn't dig more deeply into his books or any books, and I happened to read this warning in assigned reading, but here I am.
Science classes in the past have assigned me word searches. That is, a block of letters. Find the word "hypothesis!" it might be verrtical, forrrwards, baaackwards, diaaagonal, whatever! Oh, find these 20 other words, too! This'll be fun! And worth 5% of your semester grade!
I'm being educated! Yay! Education! I totally need to do word searches and misinterpret books and look busy so I can learn to be a functional member of society!
This is making me somewhat afraid of society actually!

One of these nights I'm just going to keep closing my eyes really tight and covering my ears and then looking out until one of these people is standing there and I can finally actually see them and life would finally be everything I want it to be.
Ok! That was cool. Good mood's over. Honestly, how can you stay in one of those for very long when all this stuff's going on out there?
I've decided that there's another story I need to write sometime, bringing the total to three. This one's just a short story, or maybe a small book of three to four chapters. I've only got a rough concept so far but I'm liking it. It'll be a story of a loving parent raising his or her daughter, who's like the light of his or her life. But it becomes increasingly obvious to the reader that the girl's evil, comparable to the antichrist. But the parent will love her despite that, and basically get sucked in.
Not massively original but I think I can do cool things with it.
On another note it just occured to me that no one else in the gang has done an entry for a little while. We'll have to sort that out.

And now, a chatlog.
(Forgive the lack of grammar, we were both tired/lazy/semi-sarcastic)
(Also, apologies for the heavy usage of the word "fuck." I avoid using too much foul language on this blog but when I'm just chatting away I don't hold back so much. Ecspecially when I'm angry.)
Me (11:09:30 PM): so i had a really nice dream
Me (11:09:40 PM): was kinda napping in the beach house to semirecover from the all-nighter the night before
Me (11:10:01 PM): and you know i am sure how naps have nice dreams usually
Me (11:10:18 PM): so my dad was actually listening to some vilon music in the other room
Me (11:10:23 PM): and this was like, in the dream
Me (11:10:29 PM): as well as the sounds from the beach
Me (11:10:48 PM): which were the louder parts of a small crowd applauding a rock concert
Me (11:11:44 PM): and like
Me (11:11:49 PM): i blended those sounds together
Me (11:12:00 PM): and applied them to me walking around my neighborhood at hom
Me (11:12:12 PM): and for some reason there was no one around but teenagers
Me (11:12:16 PM): in the dream
Me (11:12:50 PM): so i was walking around town and noticed there was a violin performance going on and somehow it drew a very large crowd of teenagers, just assembled in the streets, occasionally going "woo"
Me (11:12:53 PM): it was pretty awesome
Me (11:12:58 PM): and i figured
Me (11:13:07 PM): that could be applied to benine pretty well
Me (11:13:23 PM): Many teenagers in the afterlife would live in facsimiles of suburbs
Me (11:13:34 PM): But the adults would be missing
Me (11:13:45 PM): But eventually the teenagers would probably mature somewhat
Me (11:13:50 PM): Just with worldy experience
Me (11:14:07 PM): So they'd learn to appreciate classical music, and just... perform it in the streets
Me (11:14:09 PM): unaccounced
Me (11:14:15 PM): and it'd draw crowds
Me (11:14:23 PM): but they'd still act like teenagers about it
Me (11:14:37 PM): don't know when i'll integrate that but i'd like to
Me (11:14:49 PM): it could make a neat scene
Wotching (11:15:23 PM): That's oddly beautiful
Wotching (11:15:52 PM): so people can change in benine?
Me (11:15:59 PM): of course
Wotching (11:15:59 PM): i thought they stayed the same
Me (11:16:04 PM): physically yeah
Me (11:16:11 PM): but the teenagers would mature mentally i mean.
Me (11:16:31 PM): though they'd still have the hormonal stuff going on, that doesn't stop them from being 200 years old
Me (11:16:38 PM): ancient teens will make interesting character.s
Wotching (11:17:09 PM): Yes they would
Wotching (11:17:21 PM): puberty for 200 years
Me (11:17:40 PM): that's beatiful, you see, because this is the best book written in aaages
Me (11:18:19 PM): If it has any commerical success at all I'll probably try to serialize it
Wotching (11:18:29 PM): Serialize?
Me (11:19:03 PM): make a series
Me (11:19:13 PM): multiple book
Wotching (11:19:23 PM): had no idea that was a verb
Me (11:19:29 PM): indeed it is
Wotching (11:19:41 PM): That would be very cool.
Me (11:19:57 PM): the most awesome would be movie adaptations!
Me (11:20:04 PM): and other authors writing in the same world!
Me (11:20:37 PM): and movies about other people's stories in the same world!
Me (11:20:42 PM): global phenommeeennnooonnnn!
Me (11:20:54 PM): (none of the books that deserve to be phenomenons ever are tho)
Me (11:21:18 PM): i mean, lord of the rings, wtf
Wotching (11:21:18 PM): that's pretty much commertialism
Me (11:21:36 PM): great man, you can design an elaborate and veery very cliched fantasy world
Me (11:21:48 PM): here's a billion dollars and some fucking expensive movies
(IM Window Cleared)
Me (11:22:06 PM): the davinci code
Me (11:22:11 PM): wtf the davinci code
Me (11:22:14 PM): "this is terrible"
Me (11:22:17 PM): "best seller"
Me (11:22:43 PM): the danvinci code is like the xbox of books
Me (11:22:47 PM): illiterate jocks read it
Me (11:22:51 PM): and it's pretty big
Me (11:23:12 PM): and it pretends to be really special and amazing and wonderful!
Me (11:23:14 PM): harry potter
Me (11:23:19 PM): harry potter?
Me (11:23:20 PM): uhhhh
Me (11:23:35 PM): ok rowling you can weave a clever little story a few times
Me (11:23:44 PM): but you seem to keep rehashing the same thing
Me (11:23:56 PM): also i fucking hate your characters and your world is pretty silly?
Wotching (11:24:05 PM): very silly
Me (11:24:17 PM): i would support harry potter selling a good number of copies
Me (11:24:22 PM): BUT IT IS SO FUCKING HUUUUGE
Wotching (11:24:27 PM): but its [basically][pretty much] [supposed to be] a children's book
Me (11:24:31 PM): harry potter does not deserve to be SO FUCKING HUUUUUGE
Wotching (11:24:40 PM): the movies are a bit much
Me (11:25:23 PM): jk rowling skipping over being an author and pretending to concentrate on the movies and abandoning her original plan of a book a year and haivng millions of dollars which she looooves to have is a bit much
Me (11:26:12 PM): good books went out of style before i got to publish mine =[
Wotching (11:26:24 PM): by the way
Wotching (11:26:29 PM): just a correction of facts
Wotching (11:26:48 PM): (Josh : 11:22:50 PM) » great man, you can design an elaborate and veery very cliched fantasy world
(Josh : 11:23:02 PM) » here's a billion dollars and some fucking expensive movies
Me (11:26:55 PM): yeah i know
Me (11:26:57 PM): he's dead
Wotching (11:26:57 PM): tolkien died a while ago
Wotching (11:27:01 PM): and moreover
Wotching (11:27:10 PM): i forgot what is more over1
Wotching (11:27:13 PM): !
Me (11:27:24 PM): he got pretty rich off those book
Me (11:27:25 PM): s
Me (11:27:46 PM): and i'm not denying he's pretty clever because that is quite a world he has there!
Me (11:27:49 PM): but still
Me (11:27:56 PM): he got way more huge than he deserved
Me (11:28:23 PM): LotR didn't have a single good idea in its story
Me (11:28:32 PM): It's like reading... something like the Bible
Me (11:28:40 PM): Except with less moral allusions
Me (11:28:44 PM): it's just some stories
Me (11:28:47 PM): stuff that happened
Wotching (11:28:52 PM): (Josh : 11:29:58 PM) » it's just some stories
(Josh : 11:30:01 PM) »
Me (11:28:53 PM): heroes on horses killing dragons
Me (11:28:57 PM): but what's the point
Me (11:29:33 PM): i'm going to make myself more confident in myself than i actually am, bear with it:
Me (11:29:47 PM): i've got this nice, original, well-thought out world
Me (11:30:03 PM): it's got huge potential for stuff that hasn't been done before
Me (11:30:14 PM): with nice actual morals
Wotching (11:30:19 PM): yeah
Me (11:30:29 PM): and even the world itself has a cohesive moral, without a single story
Me (11:30:39 PM): but it's not like i'm going to get jack shit for it
Wotching (11:31:43 PM): that
Wotching (11:31:46 PM): is the world's society
Wotching (11:31:49 PM): in a fucking nutshell
Me (11:31:57 PM): dude totally
(Also, apologies for the heavy usage of the word "fuck." I avoid using too much foul language on this blog but when I'm just chatting away I don't hold back so much. Ecspecially when I'm angry.)

Helloooo, good mood. How are you today? Glad to hear it. Me? Oh, I'm in a good mood.
Everything's kinda niiice. That's what I'm thinking. Been a few weeks since the last time this happened. It's cool, but again, I'm glad I get it in moderation. You might say, the sun stops seeming bright if you look at it for too long. Because you're blind.
The frequent crew members change with my moods, don't they? A few days ago it was always Dara and Malinda and often Henrietta, now I'm cheery and energetic so I'm getting Tuffie, Sue, Eva... the happy bunch.
...No idea when Ayu and Yuki decide to turn up though! But that's OK because we're all a bunch of cool peeps. All 10 of us are rockin' out right now. It's good times.

So, I feel weird right now. I simultaneously feel like I'm talking to the nine people here less often than I used to, and that I rely on them more than ever. I know that if they went away I'd probably die but I don't think I've even said a word to any of them today. There can't have been a day like this in a year.
What's going on there? I'm cautious, optomistic, afraid, and overjoyed, all at once.
Either I'm losing them, today was a fluke, or we're getting closer to simply merging into one.
This shit just can't stay simple, obviously.

I've figured out what the problem is. I don't feel nearly as wide a range of emotions as I'd like to.
What am I supposed to do about that?

Life's really sunk in now. I'm here where I am. I've got a lot of friends here, people I can rely on, I'm eating good food, I have good ways to stay entertained. It's better than where I was before in every single way.
But why does it all start feeling so mundane? Part of me wants to go back to wandering the streets, and just take some friends with me. It's like there's no such thing as pure happiness.

Mr Blue, you did it right...
...But soon comes Mr. Night.
My moodswings are headed in an upwards direction right now. This is probably the best part, when I'm pretty happy but not the most happy. I retain the thoughtfulness I have in my mopier moods but still feel good.
Funny thing is, when I get to the part where I'm the happiest, I then realize that I have more interesting thoughts while depressed and rather abruptly end up straight back down at the bottom, and the slow upwards spiral begins again. I just realized that this is what happens. I've gone through this cycle twice during this blog's life.
It's actually kinda cool. I've always enjoyed being a bit depressed, makes things more interesting.
